10月28日至30日，“The Fiber Society”2019年秋季会议在美国德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校举行，主题为“Revitalizing the Textile Industry Through Innovative Research, Education, and Entrepreneurship”。有来自中国、美国、日本、比利时、韩国等十多个国家的一百多名代表参加了会议。我院教师边红霞副教授参加了本次会议。

本次会议由“Nanofibers and Nanomaterials Modified Textiles”,”Fibers for Healthcare and Medical Applications”, ”Fiber Manufacturing and Characterizations ”, ”Fiber-based Sensors and E-Textiles”, ”High-performance Textiles and Composites”, “Protective, Interior, and Industrial Textiles” and “Textile/Apparel Design and Merchandising” 7个子主题组成，共进行50场大会报告，展示海报24张。边红霞老师参加了“Nanofibers and Nanomaterials Modified Textiles”子主题讨论，并展示了题为“Fabrication of All-cellulose Nanocomposites from Corn Stalk”的会议海报。

     据悉，本次会议由“The Fiber Society”主办，德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校承办。
